Recomiendo SLC como el mejor lugar para la terapia del habla. Tienen un programa de alto nivel y profesionales que encuentran la manera de comunicarse con cada niño. Según nuestra investigación, son el mejor lugar para la corrección del habla en Katy. Mi hijita los visita una vez a la semana; es un progreso increíble en el desarrollo.

Mi hijo ha estado yendo a SLC durante aproximadamente un año y ve a Kristen L. Llegamos con un diagnóstico confirmado de TEA justo después del segundo cumpleaños de mi hijo. Tenía alrededor de 4 palabras en su vocabulario voluntario, no señaló, tuvo poco contacto visual y no llamó a la mayoría de la familia por su nombre (aunque repitió todo como loros). Además de no tener mucho lenguaje expresivo, teníamos claro que él también estaba atrasado en el lenguaje receptivo (entender lo que NOSOTROS decíamos).

Su tercer cumpleaños es en dos semanas y ha hecho un gran progreso. Él llama a todos (incluida Kristen) por sus nombres cuando los ve. No solo tiene un montón de nuevas palabras sueltas, sino que ahora encadena frases de 3 y 4 palabras con bastante regularidad. Su contacto visual es MUCHO mejor. Él pedirá lo que quiere, señalará y aprenderá nuevas palabras a medida que se las enseñemos de una manera mucho más fácil ahora.

Y le ENCANTA ir. Rápidamente correrá hacia la puerta cuando se le pregunte si quiere ir a jugar con Kristen.

Sabíamos lo importante que era elegir un gran logopeda y, un año después, sé que elegimos bien. ¡Los recomiendo mucho!

Nuestro hijo asistió a los servicios de terapia del habla con Misty desde abril hasta noviembre de 2015. Asistió dos veces por semana al principio, y luego solo una vez a la semana durante el último mes, en sesiones de 30 minutos. No podemos decir cómo cambió la vida del trabajo que hizo, para todos nosotros. Cuando comenzó la terapia del habla, acababa de cumplir dos años y en gran parte no hablaba debido a la pérdida de audición. Ahora está en desarrollo y muy, muy vocal. Realmente no sé qué le habría pasado si no hubiera recibido sus servicios. Apreciamos mucho todo lo que hicieron y nos aseguraremos de buscarlos si alguna vez necesitamos terapia del habla en el futuro.

¡Cuidado con la facturación! Cobraron nuestro seguro por una sesión que no tuvimos. Aunque admitieron su error, tardaron meses (¡8!) En solucionarlo. Hice varias llamadas, mi esposo hizo varias llamadas y mi seguro (BCBS) les hizo varias llamadas. A pesar de que nuestra compañía de seguros los guió a través de los pasos, repetidamente completaron el papeleo incorrecto y el papeleo correcto de la manera incorrecta. Luego, cuando finalmente se hizo correctamente, no reembolsarían a mi compañía de seguros. Mi compañía de seguros finalmente tuvo que retener el pago para recuperar el dinero. Tenemos un número determinado de sesiones de terapia cubiertas al año y, lamentablemente, hasta que BCBS no fue "reembolsado" no pudimos obtener el crédito por esa sesión. Se lo dije a la facturación e incluso se lo dije al propietario varias veces. No hizo nada para arreglarlo.
