Me entristece verte partir, pero tu tiempo ha pasado. First Tech fue el mejor. Primer distribuidor de Apple y Mac en las Ciudades Gemelas. Ideal para años y años. Tenía una tienda llena de Geniuses antes de que Apple supiera lo que eso significaba. Siempre caro, pero tienes lo que pagaste.

Entonces Apple abrió sus propias tiendas. La competencia directa, al final de la calle, parecía tan injusta para uno de sus primeros socios en el mundo.

Y con los controles de precios recientemente eliminados, First Tech ya no pudo sobrevivir. Te echaremos de menos. Pero no queda espacio para un minorista dedicado y leal. Tanto los clientes como los proveedores buscan el precio más bajo, y First Tech no podría competir.

Su personal de ventas es amable, pero el personal técnico apesta. Llevé mi mac allí, estaba teniendo problemas para congelarse, lo guardaron durante casi dos semanas, llamándome día por medio para decirme que no tenían idea de lo que estaba mal y preguntarme qué quería hacer. ¿Por qué me preguntarían qué quería hacer cuando afirman tener técnicos con "más de 20 años de experiencia"? No hicieron nada para diagnosticar o resolver el problema y, por supuesto, todavía tuve que pagar la tarifa de diagnóstico. Hasta el día de hoy, mi computadora sigue teniendo el problema.

Francamente, no fue una buena experiencia. Estoy haciendo mi primera compra de Mac y estaba deseando ceder el negocio a un minorista local de pequeñas empresas en lugar de a mi tienda universitaria de la cadena Apple Store. Tenía muchas preguntas y le dije al personal de ventas de inmediato que nunca había tenido una Mac. Fueron amables al principio, pero luego me explicaron todo muy rápido y cuando tuve que hacer preguntas nuevamente, parecían impacientes y me interrumpieron. Tuve la impresión de que no debería hacer más preguntas y tan pronto como le di las gracias al socio, rápidamente se fue. Más tarde en el día llamé para hacer algunas preguntas de seguimiento y estas se encontraron con una típica actitud de TI de "¿eres una especie de idiota?" Bastante decepcionante, después de todo, considerando ir a la cadena oa mi tienda de la Universidad.
