Cuando comenzamos la terapia, mi seguro aún no se había cerrado. Le dije al personal de la oficina que dudaba en continuar con nuestras citas (después de la segunda) porque no sabía si podía pagarlo, especialmente porque ni siquiera podían darme una estimación de cuál podría ser el costo. Seguían asegurándome que "la mayoría de los planes de seguro cubren este tipo de cosas" y que si no lo cubrían en su totalidad serían "muy flexibles con los pagos".
Ambas declaraciones resultaron ser mentiras.
Fuimos a varias citas con el pretexto de que el seguro cubriría los gastos y, después de unas 12 citas, finalmente comencé a acumular un saldo. 2 cosas no sucedieron.
1. Nunca me enteré de que el seguro finalmente pasó
2. Nunca me dieron una factura
No supe que debía nada hasta que recibí una llamada que me recordaba una cita próxima y antes de colgar, básicamente dijeron 'por cierto, tienes un saldo de 428, ¿cómo planeas pagar en tu próxima cita? cita. 'Les dije que no tenía conocimiento de un saldo y que no planeaba pagar ese total en mi próxima cita. De hecho, tendré que cancelar esa cita porque no puedo pagar eso en este momento. Les pedí que me enviaran una factura y lo resolvería.
Cancelaron la cita pero nunca enviaron una factura. Durante las próximas 2 semanas, recibí al menos una llamada telefónica cada día preguntando sobre mis intenciones de liquidar mi saldo. En este punto todavía no había recibido una factura. Finalmente llegué a un punto en el que estaba como si pudiera darte 300 en este momento, no tengo el resto, solo dime cómo enviar el dinero y haré un pago. Es curioso lo rápido que recibí una factura después de eso. Pagué los 300 y tenía planeado pagar el resto dentro de un mes.
He aquí por qué eso no sucedió. Menos de 2 semanas después, me contactaron nuevamente sobre mi saldo pendiente. Me amenazaron con las colecciones. Discutí con ellos por correo electrónico durante un tiempo antes de que finalmente consiguiera que alguien me dijera que enviarían una factura por correo. Ellos no.
Luego pasaron otras 2 semanas y nuestra discusión continuó. Intentaron decirme que tenía que retirar una factura de su oficina lo cual era imposible para mí porque en ese momento trabajaba 52 horas a la semana y cuando salí ya estaban cerradas. Les dije que no, que no podía hacer eso, y que por favor envíen la factura como acordamos por correo. Con mucho gusto pagaré el saldo. Finalmente lo conseguí y mi saldo ahora está pagado, pero juré que nunca volvería a trabajar con ellos. Su sistema de facturación tiene fallas tan profundas que es una pesadilla con la que lidiar y no se lo deseo a nadie.
