Pero a veces desearía que hubiera alguien con quien pudiera hablar que pudiera ayudarme y tratar de lidiar con mi mamá y lo que estaba pasando porque no podía entenderlo. No entendí que ella no intentaba deliberadamente ser difícil, pero que su mente o lo poco que quedaba de ella no podía evitar que actuara de la manera en que lo hizo. Hubo momentos en que lloraba por sus confrontaciones conmigo sin saber que todo esto era parte de la enfermedad. Pensé que se trataba de la memoria. No tenía idea de que no solo mataba las células cerebrales, sino que también mataba las células cerebrales que controlaban las funciones corporales. Finalmente murió de una muerte horrible a causa de la enfermedad.
