Tuvimos una experiencia TERRIBLE en West Shore Laylum. Fraser Health colocó a mi padre en este centro de atención en marzo de 2016. West Shore Laylum perdió los nuevos audífonos de mi padre, 2 pares de anteojos recetados, billetera de cuero, cinturón, zapatos, sombrero, camisas y otras pertenencias personales. La dirección mostró una completa falta de empatía e interés cuando informamos que faltaban estos elementos. CUIDADO: No hay absolutamente ninguna responsabilidad por las posesiones de los residentes vulnerables. Tampoco espere disculpas cuando las cosas "desaparezcan misteriosamente". WEST SHORE LAYLUM SIMPLEMENTE NO LE IMPORTA. Evite esta instalación a toda costa.

El edificio puede ser muy antiguo, pero el personal se merece 5/5. Gente absolutamente increíblemente amable que trabaja allí.

Mi padre pasó solo 9 meses en West Shore Laylum. Es un edificio viejo y abarrotado. Durante su estadía, descubrimos que su condición física general se deterioró mucho. Para nosotros parecía sobremedicado, apenas caminaba, ya no podía alimentarse por sí mismo. Al mudarse a otro centro de atención en Vancouver, su condición física y energía mejoraron de inmediato. Caminaba y podía alimentarse solo. También descubrimos que durante su estancia en West Shore Laylum, muchas de las pertenencias personales de mi padre desaparecieron misteriosamente. Numerosas llamadas telefónicas y correos electrónicos sobre los artículos faltantes fueron en vano. El personal y la gerencia de West Shore Laylum mostraron una falta real de atención. Nosotros, como familia, no escuchamos más que excusas de la gerencia. ¡Nunca una disculpa! Las personas mayores bajo cuidados merecen algo mejor.

Westshore Laylum puede ser antiguo, pero es, con mucho, el mejor hogar de cuidados en la parte baja del continente. Nuestros dos padres han tenido la suerte de pasar sus últimos años en esta instalación tan cariñosa. El personal es increíblemente amable y realmente pone las preocupaciones de los pacientes en la parte superior de su lista. La comida, las actividades y el ambiente crean un lugar cálido y acogedor para llamar hogar. Gracias a todo el personal por hacer que los últimos años de mamá y papá fueran tan agradables.

He estado aquí varias veces para visitar a amigos. Es un edificio muy antiguo y abarrotado. Los residentes están estacionados en un vestíbulo estrecho en sus sillas de ruedas uno frente al otro, sentados allí esperando morir. Es horrible.
