Excelente lugar para vivir. Mi mamá ha vivido aquí por más de 3 años y le encanta. El personal es genial, muy cariñoso. Las instalaciones están limpias y bien mantenidas. Muy seguro, ofrece vigilancia y personal de seguridad las 24 horas.

Enfermeras groseras. Cada vez que llamo a la recepción, la persona que responde también es muy descortés.

El personal no se preocupa. No saben lo que hacen. No saben cómo hacer vendajes a los pacientes. Les toma una hora más o menos llegar al paciente una vez que suena la campana. Nadie quiere trabajar. El personal NO tiene conocimientos sobre el cuidado de los pacientes. Sacamos a mi papá antes de lo esperado debido a la mala atención. La gota que colmó el vaso fue cuando se suponía que 2 miembros del personal debían limpiar y cambiar los vendajes de mi padre y dijeron: cite ..., ... soltaremos y volveremos a ver los mismos vendajes, (él no lo sabrá). CON
Hay mucho más que decir, por lo que nuestra familia se pondrá en contacto con el director de la instalación. Muy, muy decepcionante.

La casa de Woodland Greenhouse es hermosa y limpia. Los RN y los médicos del personal son excepcionales. Las comidas son buenas y la mayoría del personal es gente muy cariñosa. Las actividades para los residentes son poco estimulantes y casi inexistentes. Cada mes se entrega un calendario de actividades. Sin embargo, las actividades rara vez se realizan. Algunas actividades requieren que los residentes se trasladen a otro edificio durante el invierno. Una de las principales actividades del calendario es por un familiar de un residente, no una actividad que está siendo proporcionada por VMRC. Los residentes disfrutan mucho de esta visita. Nuestra familia ha tenido muchas reuniones con la administración para aumentar las actividades estimulantes. Actividades (hay muchas más de las que estoy sugiriendo aquí), incluidas aquellas como Simon Says, lectura de cuentos muy cortos, conversaciones estimulantes, recordar eventos del pasado que iniciarían la conversación de los residentes, así como reproducir música suave en CD y usando una estación de televisión que reproduce videos de escenas tranquilas con música de yoga muy relajante. La música puede ser tan beneficiosa como la medicación para los ancianos.
Cuando hablamos del cuidado de nuestra madre e hicimos sugerencias familiares sobre las actividades, la trabajadora social del VMRC nos dijo que si no estábamos satisfechos, siempre podríamos encontrar otra instalación para nuestra madre. Estamos muy preocupados por su respuesta.
El Director de Actividades no verifica si se están realizando actividades. También necesita ayuda para proporcionar actividades que sean apropiadas en lugar de depender de los miembros de la familia para proporcionar actividades estimulantes para este Woodland Home. Al visitar el hogar, los CNA trabajan constantemente con el cuidado de los residentes. Si son responsables de cualquier actividad, VMRC debe proporcionar personal adicional para que se traslade de casa en casa proporcionando esas actividades. Nuestra familia ha leído cuentos, ha decorado galletas, ha teñido huevos, ha brindado visitas de perros de terapia y ha iniciado conversaciones estimulantes sobre recuerdos pasados.
Estoy publicando esto con la esperanza de que VMRC evalúe el programa de actividades y las personas a cargo.
