Después de presentar una apelación de multa, hice un seguimiento 5 veces (dije que estaba en Hawai en XX fechas para reunirme en la corte). Me tomó más de 3 meses recibir una carta con una fecha propuesta para la corte, momento en el cual ya me había ido. Vivo en Canadá, así que no había forma de que pudiera viajar de regreso a HI para ir a la corte.

La respuesta fue "puede contratar a un abogado para que represente su caso". Obviamente, eso no es razonable, ya que costaría más que el boleto.

Además, la multa por exceso de velocidad fue por adelantar a un automóvil en un carril de adelantamiento legal cuando era seguro hacerlo. Prácticamente siempre tienes que acelerar para adelantar para hacerlo rápido y no poner en peligro a los coches que se aproximan. Esto fue en mi caso de apelación ...
