Nuestros pequeños hermanos™ es una organización sin fines de lucro que ha estado trabajando incansablemente para empoderar a los niños vulnerables y construir comunidades resilientes. La organización fue fundada en 1954 por el padre William Wasson, quien se inspiró en la difícil situación de los niños huérfanos y abandonados en México. Desde entonces, NPH ha ampliado su alcance a nueve países de América Latina y el Caribe, brindando atención y apoyo a miles de niños.
En NPH, creemos que todos los niños merecen un entorno seguro y enriquecedor donde puedan crecer y prosperar. Es por eso que brindamos una atención integral que atiende no solo las necesidades físicas de nuestros niños, sino también su bienestar emocional, social y espiritual. Nuestros programas están diseñados para apoyar al niño en su totalidad para que pueda alcanzar su máximo potencial.
Uno de nuestros programas principales son nuestros hogares residenciales para niños huérfanos o abandonados. Estos hogares brindan un ambiente estable donde los niños pueden recibir amor, cuidado, educación, servicios de salud, así como otras necesidades básicas como alimentación, ropa, entre otras. Contamos con personal altamente capacitado que trabaja las 24 horas para garantizar que cada niño reciba atención individualizada según sus necesidades únicas.
Además de los hogares residenciales para niños vulnerables, también llevamos a cabo programas de alcance comunitario destinados a apoyar a las familias que viven en áreas afectadas por la pobreza. A través de estos programas, ofrecemos oportunidades educativas tanto para padres/tutores como para niños. También brindamos asistencia médica a través de clínicas móviles que visitan áreas remotas con acceso limitado a instalaciones de atención médica.
En NPH, creemos que la educación es clave para romper los ciclos de pobreza, por lo que ofrecemos educación de calidad desde la escuela primaria hasta el nivel universitario. Nuestras escuelas están equipadas con instalaciones modernas que incluyen bibliotecas, laboratorios de computación y laboratorios de ciencias, entre otros.
Entendemos lo importante que es que los jóvenes que están en transición fuera de los sistemas de atención como el nuestro necesiten apoyo continuo incluso después de dejar nuestros hogares. Por eso, hemos desarrollado programas de transición destinados a ayudarlos a convertirse en adultos autosuficientes capaces de llevar vidas exitosas.
Nuestras historias de éxito dicen mucho sobre lo que hacemos aquí en Nuestros pequeños hermanos™; muchos antiguos residentes se han convertido en médicos, abogados, ingenieros, maestros, entre otras profesiones, gracias en parte a los cimientos establecidos durante su tiempo con nosotros.
