Encargamos a iFour el diseño y desarrollo de nuestro portal. Acordamos una duración del proyecto de tres meses que se basó en una especificación detallada que se redujo a los diversos elementos en las páginas específicas. Se les ocurrió un plan de proyecto que vería el proyecto completado dentro de este período de tiempo.

Dejamos claro en nuestras reuniones iniciales con iFour y en nuestra especificación, qué tipo de diseño queríamos, sin embargo, sus diseños iniciales parecían algo que se preparó apresuradamente en un par de horas y sin mucha relación con nuestros requisitos.

Además, directamente desde el principio, los iFour se retrasaron en sus objetivos y terminaron saltándose el wireframing por completo para volver a la normalidad.

Durante todo el proyecto, la calidad del trabajo dejó mucho que desear y tuvimos que corregir ciertos aspectos que pensamos que un diseñador tendría en cuenta, como la homogeneidad de los elementos de diseño, el espaciado de los elementos y otros aspectos básicos del diseño.

Siete meses después del proyecto (tres meses), la compañía comenzó a ser muy evasiva respondiendo a nuestras solicitudes de actualizaciones de progreso y finalmente abandonó el proyecto a fines de ese mes, habiendo apenas completado la fase de diseño, y mucho menos el desarrollo HTML.

Su justificación fue que subestimaron la cantidad de trabajo requerido, sin embargo, esto no es una excusa dado el nivel de especificación que proporcionamos. Dado su desempeño deficiente, es difícil creer que hubo un compromiso serio de su parte con el proyecto.

Pagamos una parte sustancial del proyecto como depósito, pero nunca entregaron ninguno de los entregables asociados con el diseño que se completó. Tuvimos una pérdida financiera sustancial además del tiempo perdido tratando de trabajar con esta empresa.

Basándonos en nuestra pésima experiencia con iFour, así como en la pérdida financiera en la que incurrimos, desalentamos a cualquiera de confiarle sus requisitos de diseño o desarrollo web.
