Mi hija fue a la sala de emergencias de Gallatin por un dolor severo, como sugirió su doctor. La pusieron en una habitación sin mantas, sin almohadas, sin botón de llamada (pidió una manta y nunca le dieron una). Cuando le dije esto a la Dra., Ella simplemente asintió. Le dijeron que iban a comenzar con líquidos, y después de 4 horas nunca lo hicieron. La muestra de orina que dio nunca llegó al laboratorio. Se ofrecieron a tomar otro espécimen.

Ahora me doy cuenta de que la sala de emergencias no es un hotel, y hay personas con lesiones críticas y potencialmente mortales y, a veces, hay que esperar. Lo entiendo. Lo que no entiendo es la total falta de empatía. El Dr. con el que hablé fue muy seco y despectivo. Incluso podría dejarlo pasar, SI hubieran hecho algo para ayudarla. En cambio, la enviaron a casa con la promesa de llamarla para concertar una cita para otro procedimiento. ¡Esta sala de emergencias carece por completo en muchas áreas!
