Sería fácil simplemente alejarse y no escribir una reseña. Creo que lo usan a su favor. Pero es necesario informar de lo que sucede a puerta cerrada. La comida allí es terrible y no hay actividades. El personal es lo suficientemente decente, pero tienen exceso de trabajo y están mal pagados. En el poco tiempo que viví allí, pasaron por cuatro directores, cuatro o cinco directores de actividades, tres hombres de mantenimiento y muchos cuidadores. La administración es lo que está detrás de todo esto y quiero dejar perfectamente claro que no es el personal. El personal hace lo que puede con recursos limitados y, lo que es peor, no son apreciados por todo lo que hacen. Afirman tener atención de enfermería 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana. En realidad, NO HAY ENFERMERA en las instalaciones entre las 21:00 horas. y las 7:00 a.m. La enfermera solo está "de guardia" entre esas horas. También hay un solo CNA en el personal entre las 11:00 p.m. y 7:00 a.m. No exagero cuando digo que el 80% del tiempo, las luces se apagan a las 9:00 p.m. y los CNA se quedan dormidos y no responden a su llamada. Por último, puede pasar semanas pidiendo ver a un médico o psiquiatra antes de que finalmente vea a uno. Corra, no camine, lo más lejos que pueda de esta instalación. No le crea a la administración. Mienten para encubrir otra mentira. Los residentes que pueden expresar sus preocupaciones se van. Se informa poco porque aquellos de nosotros que nos fuimos estamos agradecidos de haber salido.

Muy agradecido por Harbor House. Mi madre tiene demencia y ha recibido una atención excelente durante los últimos 5 años.
