Fui y trabajé aquí durante 2 años, como una persona mayor. Esto fue hace solo unos años. Pensé que moriría por el trabajo duro, pero incluso yo, como anciano, cambié y crecí y vi una y otra vez, como jóvenes que estaban absortos en sí mismos e inmaduros, se convertían en personas generosas, maduras y amables. Sí, no es ostentoso y la comida está bien, sin complicaciones. Las horas son largas, pero también lo son los recuerdos, las risas y las amistades. Los dueños son esencialmente santos. Han invertido sus ahorros en este lugar durante años, para mantenerlo vivo, simplemente para asegurarse de que la magia continúe. Se las arreglan sin ellos mismos y viven con mucha humildad. Entonces, no, no se benefician de este lugar, excepto por el hecho de que pueden estar con buena gente.

El hecho de que el primer revisor utilice la terminología "pacientes" dice mucho sobre la credibilidad de este individuo en particular. Eagle Springs no se ocupa de los pacientes, ofrece vacaciones para algunas de las personas más singulares, interesantes y fantásticas que he conocido. Llegué aquí en 2005 solo para pasar un verano bajo el sol, pero el campamento y los directores son realmente inspiradores. Desde 2005 obtuve un título como trabajadora social y ahora me especializo en autismo. Nada de esto hubiera sucedido sin Eagle Springs.

Es un trabajo duro. Es un trabajo muy duro, a veces es físico y emocionalmente agotador. Pero el anuncio dice 'si quieres un verano fácil, no postules'. Camp America anuncia campamentos de verano como un folleto de vacaciones, lleno de revistas de caras felices haciendo rafting, por lo que cada campamento tiene algunos trabajadores descontentos. Desafortunadamente, estas personas se pierden porque si trabajas en este lugar y te arremangas verás algo especial que ni siquiera puedo intentar describir.

Pasé 2 veranos aquí y los recuerdos no tienen precio. El entorno es absolutamente impresionante e hice algunos amigos increíbles, tanto trabajadores como turistas. El comentario sobre la eliminación de las ganancias es una tontería, TODAS las ganancias y MÁS claramente vuelven al campo y espero que a los directores no les importe que diga que parecían vivir un estilo de vida bastante frugal y no materialista.

Si está pensando en enviar a un familiar o amigo de vacaciones aquí, hágalo. No hay ningún lugar mejor. Si estás pensando en trabajar aquí (y no eres un perezoso, un mocoso malcriado, 'Papi cómprame un pony', un pequeño idiota equivocado como el crítico original), también, ¡hazlo!
