The laboratory was established in 1990 with the goal of catering to the needs of the food industry, particularly, the small and midsize food companies. The laboratory continues to accomplish these goals and in order to better serve the food industry became accredited in 2010 to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), certificate number 2978.01 R&F Labs is located in Downers Grove, Illinois. They offer sample pick up service to Chicago, the surrounding suburbs and Northwest Indiana.
