Fast Switch like to think of themselves as a “new school” firm where the ability to provide strong candidates efficiently and consistently is paramount. Once engaged at a client, they typically rise to be their #1 or #2 supplier within a year. In their minds, this is a validation of the effectiveness of building their company to be operationally efficient and effective rather than relying upon past individual relationships in order to be successful. They categorize “old school” consulting firms as being the firms where relationships with key managers were a condition for their success. They had to be a “favorite” or had to have an internal “cheerleader” (or two, or three) in order to get business done because they were not competitive in terms of rate or delivery capability.
